Where is the future of real estate in the AI age being defined? Not where you think it is.

I started to go deeper into JLL ’s latest corporate real estate report with focus on changes in the AI age. The most telling signal? Where the research was conducted:

San Francisco. And Bengaluru.

While San Francisco is obvious to most people, Bengaluru surely isn’t. But it should.

The strategies, organisational shifts, and contexts the report describes as emerging? In Bengaluru, they already exist at scale and in many shapes and forms.

I noticed it first when executing a real estate strategy there some years ago, and do so daily today in my work with Zinnov and for India Rising.

Organisations are changing rapidly in India, where many multinationals run tech hubs that replicate HQ functions. The organisational models evolving there will eventually reach European headquarters. That's the signal worth watching.

Most look to San Francisco as the frontier. But proof of concept is already running in Bengaluru.
