Sustainability?

Part of the DNA.

Sustainability?

After introducing myself in a business meeting recently, I was asked what I actually do in sustainability. I hadn't covered it explicitly, though it's mentioned in my bio.

Fair question.

I realised it's been woven into my work all along and has become part of the DNA:

➡️ Choosing development partners who actually push boundaries on sustainable design.
➡️ Defaulting to circular materials whenever possible.
➡️ Building renewable energy into specs from day one.
➡️ Prioritizing impact on local communities and end users.
➡️ Exploring innovative financing models to make it all viable.

So basically it's just integrated into how decisions get made. And leverage its obvious opportunities.

And I think that's exactly where we need to be heading: environmental and social impact are automatic considerations, and form part of your business DNA. Something I’ve always admired about Keppel (Real Estate Division).

When I talk to sustainability leaders, achieving this shift is almost always their main goal.
