Running Heatmaps tell a story

I run regularly.

It actually tells you thing or two about real estate and urban design.

Location analysis are a common thing in real estate, obviously. Accessibility, offerings and the quality of surrounding areas, etc. all play a role, and it’s actually pretty similar in how you define your running route too.

Whenever I travel, I bring my running shoes and check a map upfront to roughly identify my morning routes. Not only to explore the city while on a run, but to make sure it is actually accessible.

So when I came across Strava heat maps for real estate, it clicked. Quite a combo and city metrics of cities I’ve been to often do make sense. The pockets of the city that are glowing are popular for a reason, and indicate good and accessible locations.
