Repositioning of Assets?

"I wasn't aware that you do that!"

"I wasn't aware that you do that."

I heard this twice this week.

Part of my work has always been about asset and portfolio transformation. Taking a building or a portfolio that is underperforming and changing what it is for, rather than changing what it costs.

I have done this from inside corporates and from the developer side, and I bring the same thinking into corporate real estate and developer mandates. It also runs through my collaboration with rvda - BUILDING. IDENTITIES.

For an owner it means finding the setup that raises the value of the asset itself. Sometimes that is a use change, sometimes an operator model, sometimes bringing the right partners into a site that could not carry the investment alone.

Partners with long-term mindset are often the most interesting cases, because the holding period allows the idea to work. So there is some openness to new ideas.

I've been in conversation with developers and investors in Germany on exactly this. The cross-border work helps, because concepts that are already normal in other markets might still be new here, or there is a cross-border angle to it.

If you have an asset that is not doing what it should, that is the conversation.
