My PropTech History

Real Estate & Tech since 2013

I wrote my thesis on smart buildings in 2013. Let's say the industry took its time.

I've worked with the PropTech space since 2017. Combining tech with real estate was obvious to me early, but tech has never been home turf for our industry. Even in corporate real estate, which is exposed to other sectors and technology developments.

And that cuts both ways.

It also makes real estate a hard market for tech companies to enter.

Lack of detailed process knowledge and therefore limited product market fit. Misunderstanding of who the decision makers actually are.

I've always seen myself as a bridge builder and think that corporate real estate, with its full life cycle approach, is an ideal partner for tech companies. Glad to have helped companies get their solutions into projects and portfolios I was responsible for. And now to advise directly on product market fit, strategy, and more. I recently announced my collaboration with arcneo, and there were others before.

If you're a PropTech company trying to reach real estate buyers, or a real estate business trying to find the right tech, reach out.

For the PropTech founders here: what's been the hardest part of selling into real estate?
