Interview with Consul General of India in Munich

I grew up in Baden-Württemberg, surrounded by Hidden Champions that most people outside Germany have never heard of.

Many of them now face two pressing questions. Where will the next customers and suppliers come from? And what are the engineering ecosystems to look after as the skilled-labour gap widens?

I think India is part of the answer to both.

Over the past year, I have met Consul General Shatrughna Sinha at several Indo-German gatherings in Munich. His ambition to foster stronger ties between India and Germany, in combination with an approachable and open-minded personality, is the basis for his very visible engagement in Southern Germany. When we first spoke about India Rising and him potentially contributing to it, he was directly willing to contribute to our mission to demystify the corridor and its opportunities, and thankfully spent his valuable time to engage.

Today, I published the interview with him through India Rising and it covers his experiences in Southern Germany, why he chose Munich, the potential for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg in particular, and what he recommends business leaders to do to unlock deeper ties with his home country.

It is an insightful, and actionable, read and you can find the interview via link in the comments.

Thank you, Consul General Sinha, for your time and openness. I very much appreciate it and look forward to our next exchanges!
