India is Crucial in the AI Race

GCCs. AI CoEs. Data centres.

GCCs. AI CoEs. Data centres.

India is crucial in the AI race.

A recent DIE ZEIT article warns of AI-driven job losses in India's tech sector.
I don’t think the industry overall needs to be worried. Rather the opposite, as it will accelerate the adoption of technology hubs in India.

Interest is certainly increasing among companies of all sizes and the technology consultancy Zinnov expects the GCC environment to reach 10,000+ hubs by 2030. A substantial increase from today’s numbers.

These are the reasons why companies enter and expand in India:
➡️ Large number of key talent to support existing structures.
➡️ Leading technology ecosystem to learn from.
➡️ The fastest growing economy to profit from.

Presence is key and the article shares one crucial fact: Tech talent doesn’t necessarily leave India anymore. There is plenty of opportunity in India itself.

In yesterday’s issue of India Rising, I broke down the $67.5B in Big Tech commitments and what they signal about India's role in the AI race, marking Big Tech's largest investments in Asia and driving substantial real estate and infrastructure investments.

Including opportunities for European companies to leverage this ecosystem.
