Germany enters AI pact with India.

And confirms: India is at the epicentre of AI.

Having worked closely with and followed India's tech ecosystem for years, including collaborating with Zinnov to help German and European businesses tap into it for global innovation, this announcement feels both timely and inevitable.

The India-Germany AI Pact covers five areas worth unpacking:

AI for industry and manufacturing:
Industrial AI is specifically highlighted, and the synergies here are substantial. Germany's industrial backbone paired with India's technology capabilities is a clear match.

Trustworthy and ethical AI:
The EU AI Act and India's inclusive AI policies are brought together under this pillar. While Europe's is highly prescriptive, and India's less so, the underlying values around responsible AI are aligned, and that's a meaningful foundation.

Talent and skills:
Deeper exchange between both ecosystems is a crucial enabler, and several organisations are already actively building these bridges.

Research, innovation and infrastructure:
India has a clear AI Stack strategy, building on the success of its Tech Stack. It will be worth watching what Germany chooses to adopt from it.

AI for social good:
Inclusivity has been both the design principle and the success story of India's Tech Stack. This feels like the most natural shared vision between the two regions.


The AI pact lands at a telling moment: announced during the AI Impact Summit in Delhi, and alongside a wave of major investment commitments in India’s AI ecosystem from leading tech companies and local players.

A clear sign that India will play a defining role in how AI gets adopted globally. And time to take action.
