Bengaluru's New Airport Terminal

Change is visible.

When I recently landed in Bengaluru, I was excited for a number of reasons. Not only for what my time back here might bring, but also to see how things have changed since I last visited the city.

After all, change is made visible by shifting urban environments and infrastructure, and the built environment must understands its crucial role in facilitating change and generating impact.

Bengaluru airport’s new terminal is one such example.

Filled in timber and greenery, it’s a highly welcoming and modern development and a tribute to “Garden City” Bangalore.

Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and a clear testament to where things are headed in India.
