Apple Confirms India as Global Manufacturing Hub
Apple plans to double down on India. And helps positioning India as a next global manufacturing hub.
Apple plans to double down on India.
And helps positioning India as a next global manufacturing hub.
The tech giant reportedly plans to manufacture ALL US-bound iPhones in India by 2026 as reported by Reuters and Financial Times. That’s 60 million devices annually.
Why this matters for European businesses:
1️⃣ India is on track to become the world's 3rd largest economy
2️⃣ Already the 7th largest robotics market globally (International Federation of Robotics)
3️⃣ Experiencing 59% growth in installed robots (2022-2023)
4️⃣ Fastest growing robotics market in Asia Pacific
While India's current robot installations (8,500) remain far behind China's (276,000), Apple's strategic shift could dramatically accelerate India's manufacturing ecosystem evolution. Foxconn, one of its key suppliers, is already planning to acquire 300 acres of land in Noida for its first production site in Northern India and 4th site in the country.
Plenty of corporate real estate developments going to happen.
