80% of future GDP growth will come from Asia

My takeaways of the "India's Strategic Moment" Event with IESE and OAV.

“80% of future GDP growth will come from Asia. And India will add a large chunk of it.”

A clear and important statement by Mohammed Faraz Khan at the event “India’s Strategic Moment: Opportunities, Risks, and Strategic Choices for Europe” in Munich yesterday.

The event was co-organised by IESE Business School and the OAV - German Asia-Pacific Business Association, and had Faraz and I to share insights on India’s innovation ecosystem and how German companies unlock it.

The key signals remain:

1. India’s potential is substantial, but still not sufficiently recognised in Europe.
2. India requires adoption to local market requirements and needs, something you can only achieve if you are present in the country.
3. Synergies in technological developments are vast, and they are increasingly realised by mid sized companies as well.

Thank you for having Faraz and I dear Sunanth Venkateshwaran, Vikas Chauhan , Anna-Lena Schütte and Anna Almagor, and it was an absolute pleasure meeting you again honourable Consul General of India Munich Mr Shatrughna Sinha.

Also great to meet you in person Rainer Jersch, all panelists, and to catch up with you again Luca Myska (member of India Rising's network partner GIBA), and Philipp Kolb.

It’s the right time to continue the bilateral exchanges and improve the Indo-European partnership. And it's time for actual outcomes.
